Phil Connelly

Mr. Connelly has over two decades of consumer goods experience with companies such as Whitehall/Robins (Advil, Primatene), Sara Lee, and Borden. A proven innovator with a keen understanding of the industry and the consumer, Mr. Connelly joined our group of companies in July 2001. While serving as chief executive officer for Vietti Foods Company, he instituted an aggressive strategic plan that transformed Vietti Foods from a latent manufacturer to an innovative marketer. Vietti Foods Company launched over 200 new items during a three-year- period and broadened its portfolio of brands. Concurrent with these innovative moves, Mr. Connelly led his management team to upgrade the production infrastructure by acquiring new manufacturing equipment to maximize output from the existing facility built in 1968.
In the late 1990s, as vice president, Mr. Connelly helped build Edwards Fine Foods’ Retail Group into the third-largest frozen desserts company in the United States, with sales exceeding $200 million annually.
Today, he continues to transform Choice Food of America into a leader in custom food manufacturing.

Ron Brown
Vice President

Mr. Brown has over 26 years of experience in the food manufacturing industry. His lengthy tenure in food manufacturing has been based out of our current Choice Food of America facility. Here, he has served as logistics manager through several corporate acquisitions, from Mike Rose Foods to J.W. Childs to the Portion Pac Division of H.J. Heinz, as well as operations manager and director of distribution.
He is responsible for overseeing procurement and logistics as well as inventory management, purchasing, and customer service at Choice Food of America.

Dee Folmar
Vice President of Research & Development
Choice Food of America, LLC
Ms. Folmar leads the research & development as well as our quality control operations. She has over 16 years of experience in her field, having worked in research & development for such food companies as Pillsbury’s Marth’a White Division, H.J.Heinz, and Dean Foods.
Ms. Folmar provides expert guidance on new product development and the oversight of nutritional panels and product labeling for government compliance.

Voyne Stepp
Director of National Retail Sales Accounts

Mr. Stepp is a sales veteran of such companies as Whitehall/Robins (Advil), a division of American Home Products, where he served as field and key account manager. He also managed key accounts for Acosta Sales & marketing, a national broker of consumer packaged goods, for 12 years.
Mr. Stepp has built valuable relationships with a number of food and drug chains, including Eckerd, Winn-Dixie and Albertsons. He maintains his office in Jacksonville, Fla.

Monica Romero
Director of Marketing

Ms. Romero has over 15 years of experience in sales, marketing and consulting for companies such as Thomas Nelson Publishers, CR Gibson, Lands’ End, and Colonel Littleton, Ltd. She is responsible for leading our strategic marketing initiatives for Choice Food of America’s retail and food service divisions. Prior to joining Choice Food of America, Ms. Romero served as marketing consultant for our sister company, Diversity Brands. She holds an MBA in marketing and operations from Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management.
