Choice Food of America, LLC is comprised of two distinctively different manufacturing facilities: one manufacturing cooked sauces, condiments, salad dressings, dry mixes and breadings at its Spence Lane facility, and the other offering a deep seeded history of branded canned meats and shelf-stable prepared food products that has remained popular in the market for over a century.
Choice Food of America's Spence Lane plant began in 1967 as a facilty for Mike Rose Foods. Over the years, the business went through several changes, becoming home to: Shoney’s, Levmark Holdings, J.W. Childs, then IDF Holdings, a parent company of International Diverse Foods.
Through it all, its capabilities continued to grow, as did its recognition in the foodservice and food manufacturing industries. Most recently, it served as a production facility for Portion Pac, Inc., a division of H.J. Heinz Corp.
In April 2006, the Portion Pac facility on Spence Lane joined our Choice Food Group's family of companies. Our operations were renamed Choice Food of America, Inc., and remain at this original manufacturing and storage facility near downtown Nashville.
During that same year, Diversity Brands became affiliated with Choice Food of America, offering a platform for brands seeking to increase their share of U.S. multi-cultural markets through consumer goods.
In March 2007, another established company, Vietti Foods, joined Choice Food Group's family of companies. Its plant on Southgate became our second manufacuring facility where canned meats and shelf-stable prepared foods are produced.
With a history of excellence dating back to 1898, Vietti Foods is a USDA-certified supplier of chili, stews, pastas, soups, and other canned meats and shelf-stable prepared foods. Choice Food of America distributes over 15 retail Vietti brand products to North America and Europe, and serves consumers through www.ViettiChili.com.
